Managing Director of Taxpert Zimbabwe P/L, Patrick’s key to success is to make sure that he understands his clients by gathering as much information as possible about them. He believes that clients need to understand and be involved in their financial situations so that they make good financial decisions.

 

Patrick holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies (Finance and Banking) from the University of Zimbabwe and a CTA certification with ICTA (Institute of Certified Tax Accountants). He was a Revenue Specialist with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) for ten (10) years before founding Taxpert Zimbabwe in 2014. Patrick leads the firm’s Taxation consultancy team.

 

 WILFRED MASHAMBA

Senior Financial Consultant

 

Wilfred co-founded Taxpert Zimbabwe in 2014. He enjoys client interaction and strives to exceed their expectations.  He draws his experience in the banking industry to assist our clients with their financial and accounting needs. Wilfred leads our Financial Accounting team. He possesses an Honours Degree in Accounting from the Midlands State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management.

 

 TAKAWIRA TYAVAMBIZA

Senior Business Consultant

 

Takawira co-founded Taxpert Zimbabwe in 2014. He finds pleasure in solving clients’ financial, accounting and taxation problems. He has vast experience in Financial Management gained from senior positions in the Banking Industry. Takawira leads our Financial consultancy and Advisory team. He holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies (Finance and Banking) from the University of Zimbabwe and MSc Finance from NUST.

Taxation Services

 Registrations

The law requires every individual or company carrying on trade to register with ZIMRA for tax purposes. We help our clients with the registration process expeditiously and hassle free. The law further requires traders to register for VAT once they become eligible. We do all the VAT registration processes for our clients while they concentrate on their businesses. We also do registrations for NSSA, NEC and ZIMDEF.

Tax Returns Preparation and Filing

We do tax returns for all tax heads timely and accurately, for maximum tax compliance i.e. PAYE, VAT, Corporate Tax (QPDs and Year End), WHT, etc. These require expert knowledge so as to avoid errors that may result in penalties, as well as to minimize the tax burden in line with the law. We also correctly calculate obligations for NSSA, NEC and ZIMDEF, making sure our clients pay the correct statutory dues on time.

 

Tax Clearance Certificates

We assist our valued clients with their Tax Clearance Certificates hassle free, while they carry on with their business. We do this by encouraging our clients to be compliant with the tax laws and regulations.

 

Tax Health Checks

In agreement with our clients, we do periodic checks on transactions to determine compliance with tax requirements. Many a time businesses engage in transactions that require deep tax knowledge so as to treat them properly, without which offences may be committed unknowingly. Tax health checks are invaluable exercises meant to identify incorrectly treated transactions so as to mitigate tax damage and exposure. If incorrectly treated transactions are not identified in time, tax authorities may charge heavy penalties that can adversely affect business operations. At Taxpert Zimbabwe, we add value to businesses of our clients through tax expertise.

 

Tax Planning

Tax planning is an analysis undertaken to minimize tax liabilities legally. Our team of tax and financial experts possesses the technical and legal knowledge to help our clients with minimizing tax obligations without violating the law. We achieve this by making maximum use of provisions of the law as they relate to tax allowances, deductions, exclusions, exemptions, credits, among others. Overall, tax planning is an important element in any financial plan.

 

Tax Education

Tax laws and regulations are ever-changing in response to economic dynamics. At Taxpert Zimbabwe, we carry out group or individual workshops to keep our clients in light of new tax requirements as and when they come into effect. We also do such educational workshops as and when so required by our clients. We believe every tax payer should have an appreciation of tax requirements and an understanding of his or her obligations as required by various Tax Acts.

 

ZIMRA and NSSA Representations and Audits Reviews

Our thorough tax knowledge allows us to understand the language of the Tax Authority. Thus, we are best placed to represent our clients in any tax issues with ZIMRA and NSSA. We do reviews of audits done by ZIMRA and NSSA to check their correctness, and engage ZIMRA or NSSA for any errors noted. We help our clients negotiate for waiver or reduction of penalties charged. VAT Refunds

VAT refunds arise when input tax is more than output tax for any valid reasons. ZIMRA verifies refunds for authenticity before paying out to claimants, and charges heavy penalties for any claims denied. As tax experts, we make sure our clients claim correct VAT refunds so as to avoid penalties, and have their refunds processed timely.

Payroll Management

Payroll Management pertains to the maintenance of employee records, calculation of remuneration, calculation of employee and employer statutory obligations (PAYE, NSSA, NEC, ZIMDEF etc.) and remittance of such to the respective authorities. It also entails production of reports relating to such records and calculations in the form of payrolls and pay slips. At Taxpert Zimbabwe, we provide this service competently and timely in order to mitigate tax risks associated with inaccuracies and late submission of statutory returns and late payment of statutory obligations.
