Introduction
Facilities Management (Pvt) Ltd is a 2015 registered company under Zimbabwean law. Facilities Management (FM) is there to provide ancillary support services namely plumbing services, shop-fitting/carpentry services, transport services, building services, painting/decorative services, general electrical & lighting services & any other site-specific specialist services like tiling, roofing & gutter repairs, glazing etc. Generator air emissions tests, construction of generator plinths/slabs & building maintenance consultancy services are also offered.
Facilities Management P/L Operations
The company has a staffing compliment of eight (8) employees namely: General Manager, Facilities Administrator, Class 1 Shop-fitter, Class 1 Plumber & four (4) General Workers. General electrical & lighting services are covered by a subcontracted company dedicated to offering these services. There is a fleet of four (4) standby 1.5 tonne trucks ready to be dispatched whenever there are goods & materials to be transported between sites. Facilities Management has entered into smart partnerships with various technical individuals, tradesmen & contractors country-wide to guarantee quick response times, efficient resolution times & high quality workmanship. To date all areas outside of a 100km radius from Harare & Bulawayo are covered with support teams currently stationed in the following towns/cities: Chinhoyi, Bindura, Marondera, Victoria Falls, Mvurwi, Hwange, Masvingo, Mutare, Kwekwe, Kadoma, Gweru & Chiredzi.
Call-outs/Job Requests
All job requests received (be it via email, telephone, face-face verbal etc.) are logged into the Facilities system with a reference number being given. Responses to the client are made within 10 minutes of receipt of call-out/complaint & respective tradesmen are dispatched to the respective sites to resolve faults or complaints. Where materials need to be purchased, a quotation is sent to the client for approval of works to proceed. All workmanship carries a seal of guarantee whilst materials are sourced from the respective towns/cities from where the customer will be stationed after careful vetting to ensure high quality provision.
