About Us

Established in 1979 as the first hospice in Africa, Island Hospice and Healthcare (Island) was born out of the recognition that there was need for direct home-based palliative care for those with life threatening illnesses and their families, as well as a comprehensive bereavement service. We have offices in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare and Marondera and work with a network of carers in Goromonzi, Greater Harare, Chitungwiza, Norton, Mutoko, Zvishavane and Gwanda.
